Hugh Hartigan and Chris Reynders
Bessie and Crushinator
Those are the names of our two 1950s Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machines (our creativity may be lacking in this department). We create a majority of our products on these two little machines, both of which were hand-me-downs from Hugh's great-great grandmother. They don't have all of the bells and whistles of a more contemporary machine, but these little work horses never quit and make everything from our neckties and bows ties to our lapel flowers and wallets. Staying true to our design roots, we manufacture everything according to classical standards, but with a modern twist. These vintage machines are the living embodiment of that ideal.
