A handmade subscription box geared toward the abundance of creativity pouring out of Colorado.
Coloradans are spoiled with how much 'craft' there is going on right now: beer, food, spirits, furniture, you name it. If there's something out there that can be hand made, chances are someone has figured out how to do it in CO. With that in mind, we partnered with some of the amazing local makers we know to share a little taste of the Colorado craft scene in one neat package. We call it 'From Scratch.'
Our first box plays with a simple, but delicious, concept: meat. Smoked features four locally created products that revolve around this theme in different ways, each oozing with handmade goodness.
Holypeño Beef Jerky
Old fashioned beef jerky, hand crafted, smoked, and dried in the heart of CO; a true taste of the old west. Based off of the jerky he had as a kid, Mark Eddy prides himself on using only natural flavors and zero preservatives.
His Holypeño jerky takes the original recipe and adds a spicy kick without going overboard. But if you really want some heat, make sure you eat the jalapeños at the bottom of the bag. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Campfire, ManCandy Soap
The soap you wish your mom had used to wash your mouth out! Confectioner’s Soap uses base ingredients of olive and coconut oil, shea butter, goat’s milk, lye, and, of course, confectioner’s sugar, which provides a rich lather, a staple Howard Semones bases his creations around.
This Campfire soap builds on top of that with fir needle and cade, making for a truly unique, woodsy scent, transporting you to the great outdoors. This is no ordinary bar of soap.
Butcher Block Print, Self-tie Bow Tie
Hugh Hartigan and Chris Reynders create their products with classical standards in mind, but with a modern twist. Each piece is made on a pair of 1950s Singer Featherweight sewing machines, the living embodiment of this ideal.
This Butcher Block Print bow tie is a unique pattern printed on organic cotton, based off of 1950s butcher guides. The cool tones give this fun pattern a more vintage look, making cows and pigs a reason to dress up.
Angus and Champ, Wooden Magnet
Two Little Fruits blends humor, bold graphics, and bright colors into their original illustrations. Each digital image is transferred by Derek Cadena and Brent Rodgers onto handmade wood blocks using an acrylic gel medium.
These Angus and Champ magnets are the perfect amount of flair for your desk of refrigerator. While the animals fit the 'Smoked' theme, the surreal background of floating shakes and burgers are what make these prints truly unique.
$5 of each box purchsed is donated to CHARG Resource Center, which serves adults struggling with major mental illnesses.
